About Ryder Wells
Go-kart racer turned micro sprint champion Ryder Wells blazed a path to a championship runner-up spot in the Southern Premier Series Pro Truck division at Houston Motorsports Park before moving on to continue his dreams in NASCAR’s backyard. After competing against veterans of NASCAR, World of Outlaws and other nationally-recognized drivers in an open-wheel sprint car, Wells stepped up and was the mid-season points champion in pro trucks and eventual runner-up. Now, he’s Mooresville, N.C. working with Niece Motorsports following successful stints at Mike Darne Racing in late model stock cars and micros at BKR.
The 17-year old from Lumberton, Texas kicked up dirt in 2022 at the C. Bell Micro Mania, the Sooner 600 weekend, the Lucas Oil NOW 600 Series and other major micro sprint events. With numerous wins under his belt, he went truck racing and won the first heat race of his career as a rookie. Wells said he isn’t backing off the throttle anytime soon and is working at Niece to further his racing career.
